Happy New Year!

It’s January 1, 2015!  This is the day when we look forward to the possibilities of what a brand new year can bring.  As someone who has been working hard on her entrepreneurial aspirations for several years, this is the time when I reflect on my accomplishments of the previous year, and excitingly look to the goals that I want to achieve in the new year.

However, pursuing my goals did not come without a price.  In fact, it was after experiencing an extremely difficult period in my life that I decided to use my talents as an event planner to help build the life that I truly wanted.  I am beyond grateful that I was able (with the help of my husband, family and friends) to allow my passion to flourish after a season of pain.

2014 was a challenging year as well, but it was also filled with a lot of triumphs.  However, at the end of 2014, I had to come to the realization that in order to reach the 2015 goals that I’ve set for myself, I could no longer ‘apologize’ for my gifts or the vision of my brand.  How did I apologize?—by settling or compromising my value in order to obtain a client(s).  Although I am truly grateful for all of the events I’ve designed over the years, and the wonderful people for whom the events were planned, I had to make a decision to OWN my true worth.  A few words of wisdom from a friend confirmed my discontent and helped me to finally embrace my ‘a-ha moment.’  Therefore,  I am no longer concerned about the number of clients on my itinerary because I know that by embracing my worth, I will automatically attract those clients who appreciate the TCE brand and all that comes with it.

Many of you may have come to this same conclusion, or are coming into the new year facing some major challenges.  I want to encourage you to not let the circumstances deter you from seeing what you aspire to be in 2015.  Whether it’s embarking upon an entrepreneurial goal, living a healthier lifestyle or pursuing higher education after raising a family, your goals are worthy of achievement.  It is up to you to believe that YOU are worthy of achieving them.

Just think, you’ve been given a brand new set of 12 months that you’ve never seen before—that’s 365 days worth of new possibilities!

Best,
