With fashion and Hollywood events going together like peanut butter and jelly, today’s fashion inspiration is all about the 2013 Grammy Awards!

It’s always exciting to see the trends from our favorite designers grace the red carpet.  This year, the Grammys dazzled us with looks in Pantone’s color of the year, emerald green, in addition to bold prints, and the dynamic duo of black and white.

Lets start with a few of my faves. 🙂

Hands down, this year’s best dressed of the Grammys goes to the darling Ms. Kelly Rowland in a risqué black Georges Chakra Couture gown. The strategically placed geometric sheer panels gave a little eye candy and the tulle skirt added a bit of sophistication to this stunner.  A perfect number for the girl who loves taking risks!

This season it’s very easy being green and I am swooning over the ladies who stunned us in the color-of-the-moment, emerald. Florence Welch was head to toe in a custom Givenchy whimsical look.  The sequined gown with cone like knots adorning the neckline, shoulders and arms stood out on the carpet.

Solange, a true fashionista, pulled out all the stops with her natural locks, emerald couture gown from Ralph & Russo, and hot pink studded pumps!  Her sister Bey was toned down but on-trend as well with her Osman black & white crepe jumpsuit. This number would be perfect to wear at a cocktail reception instead of the standard LBD.

The lovely Adele graced the carpet with a bold print Valentino. This red applique frock tailored like a dream at the waistline was a refreshing to say the least.  Adele received mixed reviews for her change from the normal LBD’s she rocks, but I say if your confident enough to wear it and look this great, then I’m all for it!

WEDDING DRESS TREND ALERT!

So many of my colleagues in the industry were lighting up the news feed on Twitter and Facebook with their reaction to the Theia Couture ballroom gown worn during a performance by Carrie Underwood. When she first walked out on stage I thought this gown reminded me of a gorgeous number I had seen on the New York Bridal Week 2013 runway back in October.  As country music’s Barbie doll stood still and led lights begin to project fanciful circles, flowers and shapes across the dress, I quickly changed my mind.  With that being said, the verdict is still out of this one.  Some say HOT and some say NOT!!  What are your thoughts on this glowing gown?

Lastly, here are the most talked about looks from the night that I don’t hope to see at a wedding reception anytime soon!
